GP2 Monaco: Street smart Maldonado wins

Pastor Maldonado repeated his Monaco Renault World Series race win of 2006 in this year’s GP2 race.
The Venezuelan comfortably took pole from Giorgio Pantano by 0.3s and led the Italian home in the race as well.
Behind them came the championship top three - Timo Glock, Luca Fillipi and Lucas di Grassi.

WTCC Valencia 2: Thompson doubles up

James Thompson triumphed in what was easily the best world touring car race of the year. He added a second victory to the one he earned earlier in the day.
Thompson stormed through to win from eighth while BMW team mates Jorg Muller and Andy Priaulx disputed second place.

DTM Lausitzring - Hakkinen wins amid chaos

Mika Hakkinen took his second DTM victory after a chaotic race at the Lausitzring.
A safety car period in the middle of the race threw the running order up in the air but the Finnish twice World Champion prevailed.

Timo Glock took the GP2 victory he’s been threatening all year by scorching through to first from eighth at Barcelona.
