Qualifying disaster for Asmer at Spa

Marko Asmer will start the first of two British F3 races at Spa from 29th on the 30 car grid.

Champ Car Edmonton: Bourdais back on top

Sebastien Bourdais returned to Champ Car after his recent F1 test and showed his rivals why he’s tipped to be Grand Prix racing next year.
He dominated the third of the Canadian Triple Crown races, comfortably beating Justin Wilson and seizing the initiative in the championship as rivals Will Power and Robert Doornbos struggled.

IRL Mid Ohio: Dixon seals his hat-trick

Scott Dixon won his third consecutive IRL race and closed to within 24 points of championship leader Dario Franchitti with five rounds remaining.

Sebastien Buemi will return to GP2 action at the Nürburgring this weekend as he substitutes for the injured Michael Ammermuller once again.
Buemi impressed on his one-off appearance at ART in Ammermuller’s place in the Monaco GP2 race. He qualified fourth ahead of Lucas di Grassi and finished seventh.

Briton Hollings leads Australian F3

As the Australian Formula 3 championship passes the half way mark Briton Charlie Hollings has taken the lead of the title race 127 points ahead of Tim Macrow on 121. Leanne Ferrier-Tander is also in the running with 118.

BTCC Donington 3: Plato doubles up

Jason Plato took a second win at Donington Park to extend his championship lead over Fabrizio Giovanardi.
The Italian now trail the Seat driver by 25 points in the championship.

BTCC Donington 2: Perfect Plato

Jason Plato flattened the opposition in a second wet race at Donington Park, leading home race one winner Gordon Sheddon and Fabrizio Giovanardi.
Plato’s fifth win means he has eked out a slightly larger lead in the championship.
