A1 Grand Prix takes radical step to level playing field (A1GP)

A1 Grand Prix has taken further measures to help its less experienced and less capable teams narrow the gap to the front runners.
In the 2008-2009 season it will make the telemetry available from the car that sets the fastest lap in practice and qualifying.
But will it actually help the teams at the back of the [...]

A1 Grand Prix tweaks 2008-09 car for sponsors (A1GP)

A1 Grand Prix has revised the look of its new Ferrari-designed 2008 car to increase the amount of space given over to sponsors.
I think they’ve spoiled the lines of the original design a bit. But hey, money talks. A rule was brought into F1 to increase engine cover sizes after the 2002 season if memory [...]

A1GP: Narain Karthikeyan denies Robbie Kerr in final race

Narain Karthikeyan gave India their second A1 Grand Prix victory, holding off Robbie Kerr to win the feature race at Brands Hatch.
Kerr took the lead after the first pit stop by staying out a lap longer than Karthikeyan. The first stint had been interrupted by a massive crash triggered when Adam Khan (Pakistan) carelessly moved [...]

A1GP: Switzerland are third series champions

Tom Dillmann, Marcel Fässler, Rahel Frey, Natacha Gachnang and Alexandre Imperatori all drove for Switzerland at one time or another in the 2007-08 championship. But it was Neel Jani who did the racing and won them the championship.
Jani drove a canny campaign, regularly in the top ten, indeed only failing to get there in the [...]

A1GP: On the grid at Brands Hatch

Just arrived at Brands Hatch in time for the A1 Grand Prix season finale. Switzerland’s Neel Jani has got the title all-but won and as he’s starting third on the grid with New Zealand rival Jonny Reid tenth, his chances look very good indeed.
Robbie Kerr has kept the home crowd happy with pole position (see [...]

Wickens goes from hero to zero in A1GP crash-fest

Robert Wickens was looking good for another strong finish while running second in the A1 Grand Prix feature race at Durban until he spun at the exit of turn one.
But he compounded the mistake by driving against the flow of traffic and hitting Oliver Jarvis, who was running third.
It was just one of a string [...]

Dominant win for Wickens in A1GP Durban sprint

Canada’s teenage star Robert Wickens took a classy win from pole position in the A1 Grand Prix sprint race at Durban. He fended off Brazil’s Bruno Junquiera at the start and shot into an immediate two second lead as Junqueira and Oliver Jarvis were assaulted by New Zealand’s Jonny Reid at the first corner.
Jarvis took [...]

A1GP Zandvoort feature: Jarvis wins for Britain

Oliver Jarvis was every bit as impressive in the feature race as Adrian Zaugg was in the sprint.
He moved ahead of early leader Zaugg at the first round of pit stops and was untouchable after then
But while the race at the front was settled early there were plenty of battles for the rest of the [...]
