Audi drags DTM into fresh controversy

Several drivers made woeful mistakes on the track at today’s DTM race in Barcelona - but by far the biggest blunder of all was committed on the pit wall.
Audi’s withdrawal from today’s DTM race at Barcelona was, in my opinion, a ridiculous over-exaggeration and a dismal display of poor sportsmanship.
Their withdrawal hinted at the suspicion [...]

DTM Barcelona: Scandal as Audi withdraw

A mass withdrawal from the DTM race at Barcelona by Audi overshadowed Jamie Green’s maiden victory at the Catalunya circuit.

Mika Hakkinen took his second DTM victory after a chaotic race at the Lausitzring.
A safety car period in the middle of the race threw the running order up in the air but the Finnish twice World Champion prevailed.
Behind him an inspired Paul di Resta finished second to take the championship lead in his rookie season [...]

DTM Oschersleben: Paffett wins in old car

Gary Paffett took a magnificent win at Oschersleben in last year’s Mercedes C-Class.
If that weren’t surprising enough, team mate Paul di Resta now leads the title race in a 2005 Mercedes! He is tied at the top with Martin Tomcyk.
Oschersleben produced a massively different result to that seen at Hockenheim and leaves the title race [...]

DTM: Werner and Biela in at Audi

The injury-hit Audi squad has drafted in two old hands to replace the drivers injured in the frightening first-lap crash at Hockenheim.
1991 DTM champion Frank Biela will deputise for the injured Tom Kristensen is his 2007-spec car. Kristensen was originally expecting to race and indeed his pre-race PR quotes had been issued by the team.
Alexandre [...]
