Paffett, not winner Green, excluded from Norisring results (DTM)

Most people expected the stewards to get involved after the DTM’s annual visit to the Norisring. But to the surprise of many it was fifth placed man Gary Paffett, not winner Jamie Green, who was penalised.
Paffett was disqualified from the final results. Did the stewards get the wrong British driver?

Lausitzring race points cut

Paul di Resta’s lead in the DTM championship has been halved after reduced points were awarded for the Lausitzring race.
The German motor sport governing body felt that several drivers were disadvantaged by the mis-handling of the safety car period during the race.
The revised championship standings are as followed (previous score in brackets where relevant):

A safety car period in the middle of the race threw the running order up in the air but the Finnish twice World Champion prevailed.

DTM Oschersleben: Paffett wins in old car

Gary Paffett took a magnificent win at Oschersleben in last year’s Mercedes C-Class.
If that weren’t surprising enough, team mate Paul di Resta now leads the title race in a 2005 Mercedes! He is tied at the top with Martin Tomcyk.
