Ralf Schumacher’s DTM switch isn’t going well (DTM)

Six races into his first DTM season and six-times F1 Grand Prix winner Ralf Schumacher is struggling to make an impression:

Mathias Ekstrom wins as Audi thrash Mercedes (DTM)

There was no repeat of last year’s cynical race-fixing by Audi - the team simply crushed rivals Mercedes at Zandvoort.
Mathias Ekstrom led an Audi 1-2-3-4 followed by Timo Scheider, Tom Kristensen and Martin Tomcyk in a processional race.

Paffett, not winner Green, excluded from Norisring results (DTM)

Most people expected the stewards to get involved after the DTM’s annual visit to the Norisring. But to the surprise of many it was fifth placed man Gary Paffett, not winner Jamie Green, who was penalised.
Paffett was disqualified from the final results. Did the stewards get the wrong British driver?

Citroen to race C5 in the unmistakeably German DTM?

The German Touring Car Championship (DTM) has been crying out for another manufacturer entrant ever since Opel withdrew at the end of 2005 and took all their cars with them.
Now Audi and Mercedes might finally have a rival - and a non-German one at that. Citroen Sport team boss Olivier Quesnel has threatened to take [...]

DTM’s stupid pit stop rules to get worse

The DTM have found a way to make their complicated and boring pit stop rules even harder to follow.
On top of forcing drivers to pit twice a race, they’re now going to set pit windows which will restrict the times at which they come into the pits.
It’s a rubbish idea nicked from, among other categories, [...]

New DTM drivers: Oliver Jarvis, Katherine Legge… and Ralf Schumacher

Three new names have been confirmed for this year’s DTM championship.
The headline grabber is F1 refugee Ralf Schumacher, who will drive a one year-old Mercedes C-Class.
Oliver Jarvis (pictured above with team mates Legge and Markus Wikelhock) joins Audi in a one year-old A4, which really disappoints me. Jarvis has had some excellent results in Formula [...]

Audi drags DTM into fresh controversy

Several drivers made woeful mistakes on the track at today’s DTM race in Barcelona - but by far the biggest blunder of all was committed on the pit wall.
Audi’s withdrawal from today’s DTM race at Barcelona was, in my opinion, a ridiculous over-exaggeration and a dismal display of poor sportsmanship.
Their withdrawal hinted at the suspicion [...]

DTM Barcelona: Scandal as Audi withdraw

A mass withdrawal from the DTM race at Barcelona by Audi overshadowed Jamie Green’s maiden victory at the Catalunya circuit.
Audi management took the unprecedented step of withdrawing all of their cars after its principal title charges Martin Tomcyk and Mattias Ekstrom were involved in controversial crashes.
Audi Sport issued a statement claiming, “the Mercedes drivers used [...]

DTM Zandvoort: Audi fix the finish

Audi team orders forced Alexandre Premat to give up what would have been his first DTM win.
Premat actually let team mate Martin Tomcyk pass him twice, the final time coming mere metres before the line on the final lap.
Audi dominated the weekend, turning a 1-2-3-4-5 result in qualifying to 1-2-3-4 in the race.

DTM Mugello: Hakkinen wins from 15th

Mika Hakkinen took his second DTM victory of the year - but this time there’ll be no question of him being given half-points as he was at the Lausitzring.
In fact he probably deserve double points after cunning strategy propelled him into a lead which he narrowly held over Mattias Ekstrom in the dying stages.
But Bernd [...]
