Former Vauxhall driver Gavin Smith will return to the British Touring Car Championship for the final three rounds of the season.

WTCC Anderstorp 2: Last-lap home win

Rickard Rydell sensationally - and surprisingly - won the second race at Anderstorp after passing team mates Alain Menu and Nicola Larini on the final lap.
Rydell is not contesting the full championship this season, and Larini was unhappy that he had been allowed to take points off him.
Rain once again made the race complicated and [...]

WTCC Anderstorp 1: Huff denies Monteiro

The wet European summer played havoc with the first WTCC race at Anderstorp. A drying track created a hectic race with many changes of position.
Rob Huff beat pole sitter Tiago Monteiro off the line. The Chevrolet driver would go on to win, but the ex-F1 racer slashed his advantage late in the race to cross [...]

Alain Menu repeated his wins from pole at Zandvoort and Pau with a third victory on the streets of Porto.
Chevrolet team mates Rob Huff and Nicola Larini completed the podium after an unsatisfying race dominated by a long safety car period.

WTCC Brno 2: BMW crush rivals again

BMW filled the podium at the second race in Brno just as they had in the first.
There was controversy early in the second Brno race as Alessandro Zanardi, who was waiting to serve a penalty, collided with leader Alain Menu.

Is DTM too big for Brands Hatch Indy?

I’ll be at Brands Hatch this afternoon for the DTM race. I was there for the series first race at the short Kent track last year and it was a good event - with one problem.
The track is too small for the cars.
The wide, powerful DTM racers look spectacular as the plunge down the first [...]

WTCC Pau 2: Farfus wins under pressure

Augusto Farfus was chased around every millimetre of the Pau circuit by team mate Andy Priaulx. The Briton had to settle for second - though it gives him the lead in the championship.
Although the start was fairly clean the racer was neutralised by an early safety car period. This followed a multi-car crash involving [...]

WTCC Pau 1: Menu miles ahead

Alain Menu dominated the first WTCC race at Pau, scorching into the lead from pole and never looking back. Yvan Muller took a useful second but never looked likely to pass the Chevrolet driver.
The world’s top touring car racers put in an impressively disciplined show on the narrow Pau streets - making for a [...]
